update from Jill:
Mike had bloodwork and a doctor visit with the oncologist Thursday morni=
ng before chemo....and the bloodwork returned "remarkable!" The bilirubin =
count is now COMPLETELY NORMAL. (1.1)....as are the liver enzyme counts. T=
he only elevation is the phosphate count, which Dr. Sneed said indicates th=
e tumor in Mike's liver.

Even better news is that Mike has gained 8-10 pounds! :) So all we need is=
10 more pounds to be back up to normal.

The plan now...is to give Mike a FULL dose of Taxol (whereas before, he co=
uld only have a partial dose due to his liver counts), and as last time, a=
full dose of the Carboplatin. (he is still receiving those as I type) =20

In three weeks they will repeat a scan to see what progress he has made. =
If there has been progress, he will go to MD Anderson to see if the tumor =
can be removed. If not, they believe he will keep receiving chemo until=
he can .

So now we could really use prayer that Mike's blood/liver counts stay in a =
good range....that he resists infection.....that he continues to gain weigh=
t, and that the full doses of both of these chemo-drugs, do their job. AN=
D....that he will have enough time to make the best progress before grandb=
aby #2 arrives November 27th.
