Just got back seeing Saundra and Bob this afternoon (WEdnesday). She seeme=
d a little better than last week. They had put the feeding tube into her s=
ide this morning, but would not remove the one in her throat until they mad=
e sure the new one worked. She was much more alert, had her eyes open almo=
st the whole time I was there. I asked her if she heard and understood wha=
t I was saying to squeeze my hand, instead she took her thumb and kind of r=
ubbed my hand.

They lowered the breathing apparatus to help her 5% of the time, if her O2 =
levels were still stable, they hoped to remove it tonight or tomorrow.

I was able to spend some time with Bob, and he was encouraged by her improv=
ements. Their son is to come on Friday, and their daughter next Thursday. =
This will help Bob a great deal.
