After being told by MD Anderson that they were 90% sure that they could
extract the tumor, they then concluded that it wasn't the best option now.
They said even if they did the surgery then they wouldn't be able to get all
of it anyway. So, now Mike has an appointment with an oncologist in MD
Anderson on January 2nd to discuss other alternatives to surgery at this
time. They are also planning to do tests to make sure the cancer isn't
anywhere other than the liver. We appreciate you continuing to pray for
Mike as he sees what his next steps will be. Also, please continue to pray
for the family, as they were given every hope to believe that the surgery
would be done to put an end to all of this. We all appreciate your prayers
and your support.

RE: Amilee - missionaries in Italy
Since Amilee has stage 4 endometriosis and it will take the doctor half a
day to complete the surgery, we could not get an appointment until February
21. We are praying for some cancellations so the surgery can be moved up,
but right now, it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Please pray
with us that the doctor will be able to do her surgery earlier, as Amilee is
experiencing pain almost daily. Because we must exceed our vacation days
for all of this to take place, we were forced to end our term in Naples,
Italy. Next week Scott will be flying to Naples to pack up the rest of our
belongings. Please pray for safety and protection for Scott.
We want to thank all of you for praying for our ministry in Naples. We are
grieved at the fact that we must leave now, but we also know that nothing is
out of God's control. He had a purpose and a plan for the time that we
spent in Naples, and He knew beforehand that we would be returning to the
States. We would like to ask all of you to continue to pray for the people
of Naples.
