Jerry Williams is having knee surgery tomorrow at Clarksville Hospital. =
We thought Brian was having trouble with his new hearing aid over the=20
weekend. When the audiologist checked it out Monday he said there was=20
nothing wrong with it and rechecked Brian's hearing. He has had another =
devastating loss of hearing in his good ear on the right side. The=20
hearing aid is absolutely of no help to him. He was sent to another=20
specialist in Little Rock who said his only option is to have steroid=20
injections in his right ear. He said this technique will require him to =
lay still for 30 minutes after the injection before going home. There=20
will be one each week for three weeks. He explained that this is=20
Brian's only option of possibly getting some of his hearing back, and if =
he waits over a month it will be a permanent loss. There is no guaranty =
that it will improve permanently either. It is very risky with his=20
seizure disorder along with the other medications he's taking, but the=20
risks are cut down some by having it injected directly into the ear=20
instead of orally. This prevents much of it getting into his system=20
where it could cause problems. Please pray that this is the right=20
decision for Brian. I'm very proud of his determination and courage in=20
facing yet another obstacle in his long term recovery process. We know=20
we are completely in God's hands and continue to trust him for strength=20
and renewal each and everyday. We cherish our loving and caring friends =
at SBCR and your wonderful prayer chain to help sustain us through each=20
of these trials. Thank you so much.
